Saracen Re-Leve®

Re-Leve®-Mix is a vet recommended cereal-free mix, specially designed to replace all hard feed to support horses requiring a low starch ration. Broodmares prone to laminitis and youngstock susceptible to development orthopaedic disease benefit from the use of Re-Leve®-Mix. With a low starch profile and use of BMC® (Buffered Mineral Complex) Re-Leve®-Mix is also ideal for feeding to horses particularly prone to gastric ulceration.

BMC®‘s buffering effect on the stomach is proven to reduce pH post feeding, helping to regulate acidity in the stomach and reduce associated damage. With a reduced starch content and increased reliance on fibrous carbohydrate the risk of hindgut acidosis is also reduced. The buffering effect of BMC® is also present in the hindgut, increasing capability of the hindgut to regulate pH which in turn supports beneficial bacteria, digestion and energy conversion.

Re-Leve®-Mix is fortified with Stamm 30® for nutrient continuity and contains high levels of antioxidants, such as natural Vitamin E and selenium, to improve colostrum quality and support fertility.

The ingredients are highly digestible, and are preferred energy sources for horses with difficult temperaments or a nervous disposition. Bodyweights are easier to control in mares and youngstock, and backward foals or yearlings can cope with this type of ration without affecting their skeletal development. It can be useful during sales preparation for young horses showing signs of physitis as it will support their growth without aggravating immature joints, helping to ease pressure on growth plates and maintain joint health and normal skeletal growth patterns. Yearlings will have a more even and manageable temperament during early handling and sales preparation when fed Re-Leve, and it can also help stressy mares or horses with nutritional sensitivities or allergies. It works very well as part of feeding programmes during box resting after surgery or injuries.
